SCAIP: Suppliers & Customers Advanced Interaction Portal

Description

The objective is to design and implement innovative services (and manage the related organisational and business process innovation involved) to create a new system of communication between a small metalworking company and its customers and suppliers. SCAIP is positioned as the development of a new service. i.e. an innovative digital tool capable of creating a common language, enabling Lampas to transmit its value first and foremost to its customers, including international customers, but also to increase the quality and competencies of the supply chain. The starting point will be [the introduction in Lampas. thanks to the expertise of the ICC, of the Design Thinking methodology never adopted by the company before, as a model designed for solving complex problems through creative vision and management. It will be supported in this by MOLO17, an ICC company speialized in cutting-edge software solutions to improve business, through a close interaction involving the transfer of ICC’s skills, methodology and new digital tools to the SME, with activities divided into 3 phases of 1) pre-feasibility study, 2) training and mentoring. 3) implementation of the platform.

Goal

The output is a portal, i.e. an innovative digital technology platform, as a new tool to propose innovative services for communication and integration with Lampas’ customers and suppliers. Besides being a management system, it is also positioned as a marketing tool, in particular for opening up new markets and enriching the services provided to customers. Lampas does not currently have sufficient management and communication skills to respond adequately, in terms of timing and documentation, to increasing demand from foreign countries This is certainly an opportunity for growth, as well as evidence of a market trend. SCAIP will, therefore, be structured to respond first and foremost to this business need, to satisfy customers, who would otherwise be clearly, at best, redirected. In addition to this, the project will enable further digitisation in the company. A quotation request system. with an integrated and continuous sharing between production and administration, has the positive effect of providing a standardised, easily and quickly consulted, shared and stable tool.

Result

The collaboration between MOLO17 and Lampas is divided into the phases described above, which follow the following methodological path: Phase I – Idea Generation: Phase 2 – Validation and Analysis: Phase 3 – Focus and Design Thinking; Phase 4 – Digital Transformation: Phase 5 – Prioritisation: Phase 6 Definition of Costs/Timing and Implementation Plan. The Portal will allow to serve users of different sizes, from micro to large enterprises, and for this reason visibility will be amplified. It does not only refer to the Italian market, but internationally, thanks to its multilingual structure. For the type of phases described above, this path is decidedly innovative applied in the field of electric motor engineering and provides, in particular, for sharing, brainstorming and training activities, in addition to the fact that it allows an operational methodology to be transferred to Lampas that could also bring strong advantages in terms of customer interaction. SCAIP represents the first piece (test-bed) of a broader project of innovation (of services/organisation processes) and digital transformation that Lampas could develop in collaboration, and in the medium to long term, with creative cultural partners, foreseeing further investment in the coming years given the company’s financial solidity and the economic benefits expected from implementing SCAIP.

The SCAIP- DIVA project started on 1 December 2021 and will end on 30 September 2022 (for a total duration of 10 months).
