Description
Lampas System responded promptly to the COVID-19 emergency, also thanks to the digitalisation process it has undertaken in recent years. The company operates in a strategic sector, i.e. the metal-mechanical sector both as a player in the supply chain, but also as a primary activity supporting the maintenance and servicing of electric motors for several companies in Friuli Venezia Giulia and Northern Italy. In addition to this, the company has activated various activities to reduce the risk of contagion, including activation of work shifts to halve the number of personnel in the company, but at the same time guarantee the continuity of production activities and the delivery of orders to customers in strategic supply chains.

Goal
The project presented here aims to continue the work already started, to strengthen remote communication systems and smart working, by introducing a Virtual Private Network system. This protocol allows online identity protection. The IT company that already supports the company will be involved in this activity. In addition to this, Lampas System will increase safety training, through courses and consultancy with a professional firm that has been dealing with safety issues for years, and combine this activity with the purchase of additional individual equipment to protect workers. The activities were evaluated to best guarantee the continuity of the company’s operations, even in the event of a further lockdown period.
Result
The duration of the project is planned for 12 months, during which, in addition to the procurement of materials, the computer system for secure remote connection will be set up as soon as possible and staff training plans will be activated, also thanks to the security consultancy that the company intends to activate. The resources, which will be employed, are those that will be acquired externally. such as consultancy, but also internally, since the entire company staff will be involved in a process of in-depth analysis and sharing of the tools and activities that will be implemented to ensure the containment of contagions and the continuation of production activities.
The project started on 3 December 2020 and ended on 2 December 2021 (for a total duration of 12 months). The project obtained funding of € 5,335.00 from the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia on the POR FESR 2016-2020 – Line of Intervention 2.3.c.100R 993/2020 call for tenders
